We are now seeking an experienced and strategic HR leader to join us as our Head of People.
Main duties of the job
This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and developing a modern, professional and compliant People function across OHP.
This role offers the opportunity to influence and improve the entire employee lifecycle from attraction, recruitment and onboarding through to employee engagement, development, retention and exit processes. You will play a key role in designing and embedding consistent people processes, governance frameworks and workforce systems that support both operational efficiency and an excellent employee experience across the organisation.
You will also provide professional HR advice and guidance to GP Practices and PCNs on a broad range of workforce matters, supporting managers to navigate complex employment issues confidently and consistently whilst ensuring compliance with employment legislation, NHS workforce requirements and best practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys combining strategic leadership with operational improvement and relationship-based partnering across a diverse healthcare environment.

You will:
Lead the development and implementation of OHPs workforce and people strategyProvide expert HR and employment law advice to senior leaders and the Board, Practices and PCNs.Lead workforce planning, organisational development and culture initiativesOversee complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, organisational change, redundancy and TUPEEnsure compliance with employment legislation, NHS workforce governance standards, CQC requirements and immigration obligationsDevelop workforce analytics, dashboards and HR systems to support strategic decision makingLead recruitment governance and workforce compliance processesPromote staff wellbeing, leadership development and employee engagement initiativesAct as the organisations Skilled Worker Visa Authorising OfficerServe as Freedom to Speak Up GuardianLine manage and support HR administrationAt OHP, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine impact across a large and evolving healthcare organisation.
