Job summary

The Norwich City Community Mental Health Team's provides patient centred and compassionate care to people in with moderate to severe mental illness. Based at the Julian Hospital in Norwich we are looking for 2 caring and motivated Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses to join us.

We are a team that prides itself on its team working and we value working together to meet the needs of service users. We work closely with psychology, psychiatry and staff from occupational health and Social Work and work hard to provide the opportunity to learn from each other.

As a band 5 nurse within the team, you would work with a defined and planned number of service users with moderate to severe mental illness who require care coordination. You would have opportunities to develop assessment skills, the direct provision of interventions and medicines management.

Main duties of the job

When you join us, you can expect to be supported in developing your skills and confidence in the band 5 role, there will be a minimum of two-week local induction

We fully support staff to particulate in the Trusts preceptorship program for newly registered nurses

You would have a development plan, personalised to your experience, strengths and identified development needs

We host regular reflective practice sessions, training days, clinical and management supervision.

We work Monday to Friday excluding bank Holidays

Qualifications Essential

Nursing degree or equivalent RN(MH) Membership qualification or willingness to undertake training
