Main duties of the job The role of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Clinical Practitioner at Operose Health involves providing urgent and on-the-day care for patients experiencing minor illnesses or injuries. Situated within the Integrated Urgent Care GP HUB in Croydon, the position offers up to £60,000 depending on experience and involves working part-time for 36 hours a week. Collaborating with General Practitioners and other Advanced Nurse Practitioners, the role requires a highly skilled practitioner capable of undertaking initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Key responsibilities include delivering expert clinical decision-making and providing leadership within the practice. Main Responsibilities: As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:
Provide care for presenting patient from initial history taking clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care. You must demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within the general practice. You will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership as required.Ideal Candidate: What we look for in new colleagues:
The post holder is an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients with undifferentiated care needs. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead and the GP Hub team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Experienced nurse with expertise in clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care evaluation. Demonstrated capability in safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients with undifferentiated needs. Must meet NMC requirements for advanced practice and be an Independent and Supplementary Prescriber.
