Beyond direct clinical work, you will act as a vital resource for our community, offering specialist consultation and advice to fellow professionals navigating complex mental health needs.

Job description Job responsibilities
As a senior member of our established team, you will champion the delivery of high-quality care across the borough. While your clinical base will be our Barking clinic, we support modern working practices and offer provisions for occasional remote work.
Key responsibilities include:
Clinical Leadership: Taking a lead role in service development and ensuring our interventions remain at the cutting edge of your discipline. Supervision & Mentorship: Providing clinical supervision and nurturing the growth of multi-disciplinary practitioners, helping to shape the next generation of clinicians. Direct Practice: Completing assessments and therapeutic interventions for a diverse range of young people and families. Working Pattern: We are looking for a dedicated colleague to join us on a part-time basis. We welcome applications from individuals who bring a variety of lived experiences and professional backgrounds to our team. Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,870 to a maximum of £6,137 p.a. pro rata for part time).

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (e.g. clinical/counselling psychologist fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g. HCPC) and further qualified to masters level or equivalent (degree, diploma and supplemented by specialist training, experience, short courses) To be eligible for registration as a full member of the Appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC)
Experience Essential
Extensive experience of working with difficult, challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions. Extensive experience of working with children and adolescents with co-morbid difficulties and special needs. (i.e. combination of organic and emotional deficits, such as autistic spectrum disorders and trauma). Extensive experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people with complex mental health problems Experience of using observation & assessment skills (eg. In school and home contexts) to contribute to assessments of children.
