About this role

Job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic senior medical professional to join our Paediatric Senior Medical Team as a Locum Consultant Paediatric Immunologist, to assist with running our Paediatric Clinical Immunology & Allergy service.

Our Paediatric Allergy team consists of 4x Consultants w/ Specialist Interests, 4x GPSI - Allergy (Inclusive of the post being covered), 2x CNS, 1 Atopy Nurse, 1x Dietitian, and 1x Pharmacist.

The role would consist of 2 sessions per week covering one day.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will complete an annual job plan of 45x weekly clinics assessing children with suspected allergies and addressing their care needs, participating in MDT's, the national paediatric allergy audit and other activities to support the care of children with immunological issues to offer joined up care in the assessment and treatment of children with suspected allergies in a supportive environment with consultant supervision from our Specialty Lead for Paediatric Clinical Immunology & Allergy.

Person Specification

Education & Qualifications Essential

oMBBS or equivalent medical qualification oFull GMC registration oMembership of Royal College of General Practitioners, or within 6 months of obtaining oQualified GP

Desirable

oPostgraduate medical degree oClinical supervision training oQuality Improvement experience oExperience and interest demonstrated in paediatrics or paediatric allergy

Clinical Skills Essential

oExcellent clinical skills
