Job summary
1 X 14 hour posts available, worked on a 7 on 7 off rota
Applicants must be able to achieve a high standard of cleanliness and provide a clean and safe hospital environment for staff, patients and visitors in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness and customer's care.
Catering service also provided to ward areas so experience in catering services desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the successful applicants.
Main duties of the job
Duties include but not limited to - Emptying of bins, vacuum cleaning, mopping, buffing/scrubbing of floors, damp dusting all furniture/fittings, replenishing and cleaning of all sanitary areas.
Catering service also provided on ward areas.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
oGCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics oFood Safety Level 2 oBasic IT Level 1
Desirable
oCommitted to complete a NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Support Services within 18 months of employment
Experience Essential
oPrevious cleaning and/or catering experience oAbility to use a computer to input data, send and receive emails, and undertake e-learning
Desirable
oWorking in a hospital or healthcare setting
Knowledge Essential
oBasic Knowledge of Health & Safety oFood Safety Act 1990 oNational Standards of Cleanliness

oInfection prevention and control oDomestic and clinical waste disposal procedures
