Main duties of the job The role of Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare involves working with fresh and seasonal food, aiming to provide hotel/restaurant standards without the lengthy and split shifts typical in those environments. The Second Chef will support the Head Chef, assisting in the creation of nutritious and appetizing menus tailored to the preferences of the residents. This position emphasizes the importance of a warm, personable approach, an understanding of nutrition, and maintaining the highest quality standards. Other responsibilities include managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, managing budget and stock control, and conducting regular audits. Qualifications Essential
