Our Kitchen team play a vital role is providing fresh, delicious meals from scratch for patients, families and staff. We are looking for bank staff to offer flexible support to help us maintain our high standards!
Main duties of the job
This post is offered on a bank basis, covering ad-hoc hours depending on business need. This is a great opportunity if you're looking for flexibility, picking up shifts to suit your availability while supporting the team during busy periods, holidays and shortages.
This position would suit someone who is seeking a flexible working arrangement who has availability across a variety of days and times, the shift times are between 7.30am - 7pm.

We are seeking a Bank Senior Catering Assistant to support our Chef's and kitchen team. You will be preparing and serving patient meals, setting up the kitchen in readiness for the next morning and catering for small events such as weddings, parties and fundraising events.
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable however we would provide full training for the successful candidate.
Senior Catering Assistant role involves:
Preparing patient meal trays and serving beverages Preparing salads, fruits and vegetables Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen Assisting with catering for a variety of Hospice events Working with our friendly kitchen team made up of staff and volunteers

Experience Essential

Attitude and Behaviours Essential
Flexible attitude to working hours especially with regard to covering absence and holidays, including bank holidays, working evening and weekends Demonstrates commitment to St Catherine's vision and values
Qualifications Essential
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, good basic English & Maths Food Hygiene & Allergens Level 2 qualification or equivalent

Further catering qualifications, NVQs or equivalent
