About the role
As Clinical Governance Co-ordinator, you will support the leadership team in the management and oversight of the hospices clinical governance framework. This will include helping to co-ordinate incident reporting and investigation processes, supporting audits and quality improvement activity, maintaining risk registers, assisting with policy development and preparing governance reports for committees and leadership teams.
You will also support compliance with internal assurance processes and regulatory standards, including CQC requirements, and help ensure that learning from incidents, complaints, feedback and audits is captured and shared effectively.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include
Supporting the management and oversight of clinical governance processes across the hospice. Co-ordinating incident reporting processes and supporting investigations. Assisting with audits, data collection and the reporting of quality metrics. Maintaining risk registers and supporting risk assessment processes. Supporting policy development, review and implementation. Monitoring compliance with CQC standards and internal assurance processes. Supporting complaints and feedback processes, ensuring learning is captured. Preparing governance reports for committees and leadership teams. Supporting training and awareness relating to governance and patient safety. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, learning and openness. Supporting information governance and data quality standards. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
