Job summary
Senior Clinical Fellow in General Paediatrics and Neonatology, for a fixed time period of 6 months starting in September 2026.
We are excited to offer the opportunity for a SCF within the department of paediatrics at West Middlesex Hospital. We are an expanding team of consultants with a range of interests to support your clinical and non-clinical development. As a senior clinical fellow you'll be working on the full shift tier 2 rota.
All Paediatric SCFs at WMUH work alongside all levels of London Deanery trainees from Paediatrics, as well as from General Practice. All fellows are on a combined rota with trainees and have access to the same clinical and educational training opportunities as the trainees.

Main duties of the job
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide day to day care for children in partnership with the consultants and the multidisciplinary team. Prepare and contribute to Paediatric MDT meetings and journal clubs Participate in paediatric and neonatal resuscitations with the team To participate in out of hours rotas To help with acute paediatric emergencies as part of the paediatric resuscitation team Contribute to the postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programme Participate in audit, guideline development and clinical research within the department Duties will vary depending on placement
About us
West London Children's Healthcare was formed on 1st April 2022 bringing paediatric services at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT) and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CWFT) under a single leadership structure accountable to both Trust Boards for all elements of operational, quality, safety and financial performance.
WLCH runs services from Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, St Mary's Hospital, and West Middlesex Hospital.
In addition, two child development services operate from the Cheyne Centre and Woodfield Road.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications Essential
MB BS or equivalent GMC registered with a licence to practice MRCPCH - All written papers NLS APLS Children's Safeguarding Level 3
Experience Essential
At least 2+ years of inpatient paediatric medicine At least 6 months of NICU (level 3) experience Experience working in the NHS (6 months minimum)
Skills and knowledge Desirable
Able to demonstrate leadership skills Ability to prioritise clinical/admin tasks Teaching experience Higher degree in Paediatrics/Teaching/Research (Diploma, MSc) QI and Research experience
