Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary Chronic Pain Management Service.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with persistent/chronic pain, working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team including Pain Consultants, Psychologists, and Specialist Nurses.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner, providing specialist assessment, treatment, and advice while contributing to service development and innovation.
Working days to include a Wednesday and Friday.
2 roles available 1x 37.5 hours per week and 1 x 28.5 hours per week
Main duties of the job
Provide specialist assessment and management for patients presenting with complex persistent pain conditions. Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including individual and group-based pain management approaches utilising psychological skills such as motivational interviewing, CBT and ACT. Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to support holistic care and joint decision-making. Lead or contribute toservice development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives. Support the supervision, education, and appraisal of junior staff and students.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Hold a recognised degree in Physiotherapy HCPC registration Evidence of relevant post graduate courses/CPD within Chronic Pain
Desirable
Member of CSP Member of clinical interest group
Experience Essential
Previous experience in the relevant area at Band 6 within the NHS demonstrating a broad base of clinical depth and competence Evidence of a role in the supervision of less experienced staff, students and assistants. Worked in the NHS or equivalent and familiar with the NHS system and the role of the autonomous physiotherapist in both clinical and non-clinical role
Desirable
Previous experience of working as a Band 7 physiotherapist. Previous experience of working in the NHS in an Acute hospital inpatient or outpatient setting.
