Job summary If you have an eye for detail and enjoy creating a safe and clean environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, then join the team at Chadwick Lodge as a Lead Housekeeper. Working 37.5 hours a week, you will join the Housekeeping team providing to service users who have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) and have a history of offending behaviour. You will have the opportunity to lead the housekeeping team in cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area. As the Lead Housekeeper, you will be responsible for providing support, guidance and supervision, whilst monitoring the recruitment and performance reviews to ensure continuity of services and facilities. As part of being a Lead Housekeeper you will support the Senior Management Team in ensuring a high standard of cleanliness. You will have some autonomy in the role by setting up systems that work by arranging cleaning schedules and a staffing roster to support the service and your team. Main duties of the job As a Lead Housekeeper, you will be responsible for leading a team in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the facility, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms, and visitor areas. You will provide supervision, support, and guidance to the housekeeping team, monitor recruitment and performance, and ensure continuity of services. You will have autonomy in setting up effective cleaning schedules and a staffing roster. The role requires you to maintain dynamic and flexible work practices, order materials in line with budgets, manage stock levels, and follow Health and Safety regulations. C.O.S.H.H Training, Cleaning Industry Standards, and knowledge of Health and Safety are required.

As a Lead Housekeeper you will be:

Cleaning designated areas to the highest possible standard Reviewing implemented schedules to meet the needs of the independent wards and hospital wide. Dynamic and flexible within the role and to meet the needs of the business, and to support in continuous regulatory changes to maintain safety and infection control measures. Ordering materials and equipment in line with monthly budgets from designated suppliers Following Infection Control guidance and compete the local Infection Control audit. Using all chemical and machinery in line with Departmental Procedures, Health and Safety Regulations and Manufacturer’s Instructions Effectively managing stock levels and replenish janitorial products. Operating a documented housekeeping programme that is auditable. To be successful in this role, you will need:

C.O.S.H.H Training Cleaning Industry Standards Knowledge of Health and Safety Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done Prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively Be a good communicator Have good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently. Where you will be working:

Location: Chadwick Drive (off Saxon Street), Eaglestone, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK6 5LS You will be working at Chadwick Lodge and Eaglestone View, a medium and low secure services providing specialist treatment programmes for service users who have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) and have a history of offending behaviour.

The service offer a broad spectrum of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, involving service users at every stage. The hospital’s consultant-led multidisciplinary team has a wealth of clinical and research experience in forensic psychiatry. All programmes are designed to reduce the risk of re-offending and to maximise the potential and enhance the quality of life of each service users.

Chadwick Lodge secure services care for service users with complex and enduring mental illness who need to achieve stability in order to benefit from multidisciplinary interventions, helping them move on to community settings whenever possible
