Job summary
Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) have a number of vacancies for Dietetic Support Workers to join our innovative Dietetic Prescribing Support service in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland supporting the Dietitians in delivering dietetic care to patients and their carers.
Leicester Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) has a team of approximately 90 staff, made of Dietitians, Community Nutritionists, Dietetic Support Workers and Support Team Staff covering the population of Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
The post offers the opportunity to be a member of the dietetic prescribing team and will work across the health care community, including GP surgeries and care homes, and provide support to the Dietitians in managing patients care plans.
The role will include some administrative duties such as booking visits, updating spreadsheets etc.
The work will be in different locations across the city and county and a car driver is essential.
The caseload is currently adults.
You will have support from our friendly existing teams. We are looking for Dietetic Support Workers who have good team working, communication and IT skills and can work independently. Experience in this area of practice would be advantageous.
The service is committed to CPD and personal development and we have good clinical supervision models and in-house CPD in place to support you.
The service is involved in the pre-registration placements for student dietitians undertaking A, B and C placements.
