An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Medical Workforce Team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust as a Medical Workforce Officer.
This is a key role supporting the delivery of a high-quality medical staffing service across the Trust. You will work closely with clinical divisions, HR colleagues, and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of medical staffing processes, helping maintain safe staffing levels and a positive experience for medical colleagues.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support across the medical workforce lifecycle Maintain accurate employee records on ESR and other workforce systems Support rota management and compliance monitoring (e.g. EWTD, visa requirements, revalidation) Act as a first point of contact for queries from medical staff and managers Assist in onboarding and induction of all medical staff Support reporting requirements and workforce data analysis Ensure processes align with NHS policies, employment legislation, and best practice
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual with excellent communication and administrative skills to join our supportive and collaborative team.
This role will be based across the Trust's Wirral and Liverpool hospital sites.

Qualifications Essential
Educated to GCSE level/NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge and expertise Essential
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes including word, excel, power point, email and internet Knowledge of confidentiality, data protection and data security arrangements.
Desirable
Working knowledge of ESR Working knowledge of NHS electronic job planning and rostering systems Working knowledge of UK employment legislation Working knowledge of all grades of UK Medical and Dental terms and conditions
Experience Essential
Experience of providing administrative support within a client service environment Experience of communicating with staff at all levels and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders using a variety of appropriate styles Experience of updating and maintaining information systems and databases and producing reports

Experience of working in medical rostering Experience of rota design and management
