Commercial has a crucial role within NHSBT. We deliver critical outcomes across a broad range of categories. Main duties of the job
In this role you will provide an Executive Assistant service to the Commercial Directorate to oversee administration of the corporate meetings that the Directorate supports. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting activities for the chairs of the meetings relating to the Commercial directorate, contributing to the management of the meetings, collating and reviewing documents and acting on behalf of the Chairs within defined levels of delegated responsibility.Supporting the Commercial Directorate Senior Leadership team and undertaking projects to support work within the Directorate. You may also be required to liaise with external agencies (e.g. other NHS organisations and government bodies) and internally at Executive and Board level.Providing organisational support to the Directorate: arranging, planning and minuting meetings and ensuring management of related documents. A good understanding of good governance practices is required. You will be required to be competent in managing and understanding sensitive documents.Where required, providing support and cover for the Commercial Directorate, which will include diary management, drafting documents and other administrative tasks.Key working relationships will be with the Commercial Director.You will be required to travel and spend time away from base (with appropriate prior notice)

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
NVQ L4 or equivalent experience in an administration field Plus significant experience in a Personal Assistant role working for senior management/Executive teams. Educated to OCR (RSA) level II or equivalent qualification
Experience Essential
Previous experience of staff management and the ability to translate, including taking responsibility for staff induction, training, workload allocation, appraisal and development. Previous experience of working with Senior Management in an advanced secretarial or administrative post. Good basic knowledge of relevant statutory directives i.e. Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Equality and Diversity Directive. Ability to analyse and present a wide range of management information. Experience of working with Information Technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
