Job summary
The main duties of the posts is to care for individuals with health care needs in their own homes within the community.
Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office's criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed.
This post is currently advertised at Band 2. The role is under review within the Health Board as part of a national review and may, in future, progress to Band 3 with an updated job description. If appointed, your manager will ensure you are kept informed and will support you through any changes, including discussing relevant training requirements
Main duties of the job
Due to the continued expansion of the Complex Care at Home Team and the continued success of our Hospital-to-Home service we have vacancies for Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers. Your role will be to deliver care to patients under the supervision of a team of registered nurses within their own homes.
You need to have a good standard of education, a caring attitude, and the ability to be flexible to service needs. Also important is being able to work as part of a dedicated team, complemented by good communication skills and the enthusiasm to learn. Our service covers the whole of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board therefore it is expected that you'd be geographically mobile.
We provide a 24 hour service 365 days a year with a variety of shift patterns available including 12 and 6hr shifts.
Full UK driving licence is essential to drive patients vehicles.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
