Education/Experience You have a MSc or PhD in Statistics or other relevant fields Strong SQL experience Strong knowledge of R language, MS Excel mastery, including VBA, PivotTables and array functions, or other similar tools used for discovering data patterns and correlations through statistical methods. Strong mathematics and analytical skills including statistics, simulation, and optimization Expert data visualization techniques for charts and reports - good knowledge of Microsoft Power BI Have experience of using Spark You have a strong background in statistical signal processing and machine learning methods etc You are proficient in programming languages such as Python or Matlab in order to develop state of the art data analysis methods and tools Experience with continuous integration, simulation environments and automotive system know-how is beneficial Skills for formulating and validating business hypotheses Very analytical and excellent data driven mind set Your personal characteristics can be flexibility, quality, friendliness, motivation to take on new challenges, grit and a sense of humour. Northvolt is right now looking for Data Analysts to join our team. This is a great opportunity for you to be a part of building the first European large-scale lithium-ion battery factory. We are looking for a Data Analysts to create, execute and maintain, a structure for best practice on how to handle battery data and enabling a better understanding of how to improve our products and services. You will be responsible for the data with the insight of the state of health for the battery fleet. As a Data Analyst, your role will involve analysing patterns and trends in battery data. Key Responsibilities: Designs evaluates and monitors key metrics, understanding root causes of changes in metrics Use statistical modelling to identify underlying trends and patterns Develops and maintains scripts and queries to import, manipulate, clean, and transform data from different sources Builds and shares live dashboards and reports complete with user documentation Builds and trains statistical models for hypothesis testing Performs quality assurance on generated results to ensure accuracy and consistency Prepares “client ready” deliverables Provides consistent and accurate Quality Assurance on final results Providing ad-hoc analysis and reports for stakeholders across the organisation Researching, developing and communicating new KPIs to better monitor and understand our changing business for the areas of focus Assisting in designing the data warehouse infrastructure, working with tech teams to integrate new data flows and optimising the data structure so it can be used efficiently Northvolt is building the largest lithium-ion battery factory in Europe. This is key for future innovation and will support and accelerate the transition to sustainable energy production and consumption. Time is our greatest enemy. The global transformation to sustainable transport and energy, will only happen if there are enough battery cells produced at a significantly lower cost. We are currently in an exciting fast growing phase and operate in a busy, fast moving environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders preparing for factory construction to start in 2018. We are staffing our international project office in Stockholm and preparing upcoming recruitments for the establishment of the R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås and the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
