Skills & Requirements Education/Experience BS/MS Degree in Electrical/Mechanical /Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or relevant experience from working 5+ years of experience supporting in a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering role Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level Proven results in meeting customer requirements and expectations Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques Successful track record of scaling industrialization in a fast growing environment ideally in the Module & Pack industry Strong technical writing ability and aptitude for explaining complex issues in a concise and plain manner Experience in quality systems is a plus Curious, technically educated and with a strong business background Must have worked in multi-cultural environment Specific Skills/Abilities Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus Highly organized and result-driven An eye for details and quality Proactive and goes beyond expectations Exceptionally good negotiation and problem-solving skills Has a can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently Ability to work in a high profile and often high pressured international environment Qualities that we cherish are flexibility, sense of quality, friendliness, motivation to take on new challenges, grit and a sense of humor Passionate & purpose driven You will be responsible for adjusting our solution to design for manufacturing, engage suppliers for several different components and technologies and perform qualification activities on the suppliers. You have experience of working with sourcing, supply chain and design for high-volume products, preferablly with battery systems, but we also see experience of electrical components, cooling components, aluminum extrusions, injection molding, wire-bonding and sheet metal as a big plus. The job involves communicating well with internal teams and external stakeholders, traveling to suppliers in different countries, and critical decision making while moving fast. You will be part of building a dependable team from scratch, capable to scale Northvolt’s operations in Sweden and beyond. You will be in charge of setting up and executing the long term industrialization strategy for the Module & Pack team taking part in exiting customer drive projects and report to the Head of Module & Pack.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plan, organize, direct and conduct industrialization related activities Ensure manufacturing in our design Develop, manage, audit, improve and correct supplier planning Suggest and lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between suppliers and Northvolt´s internal stakeholders Responsible for supplier audits to ensure ability to meet expectations Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability, or cost reduction The person we are looking for is strongly quality and business oriented, curious and eager to find best solutions. The Industrialization Engineer Manager is a vital member of the Module & Pack team and key to Northvolt's mission to enable the future of energy. An average of 25% travel, possibly on short notice. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society. At the module and pack division at Northvolt, we develop full li-ion battery systems including both cooling system and software. We are now in the stage to designing and industrializing our concept and therefore we are looking for an Industrialization Engineering Manager to take responsiblity the full way from design to manufacturing of our solution.
