Job summary

NWL Procurement Services (NWL PS) is part of Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, providing vital procurement and supply chain management services to all NWL Members. As a key player in the delivery of high-quality services, we are now seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to join our dynamic team.

The Sourcing Manager will execute sourcing activities to deliver excellent customer service, ensure best value, and guarantee compliance with NWL PS governance. Working closely with the Head of Sourcing, you will be instrumental in creating and implementing effective Sourcing Plans for each project, all while maintaining a strong focus on performance metrics and service level agreements.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and success of procurement processes, ensuring NWL PS consistently meets its objectives and delivers value to the organisation and its stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

Work collaboratively with the Head of Sourcing to ensure sourcing activities add value across all projects, addressing the unique challenges outlined by Category Management. Develop and deliver individual Sourcing Plans to meet the needs of each project, focusing on delivering excellent customer service, optimal value for money, and full compliance with NWL PS governance. Support the achievement of NWL PS Delivery Board approval for all project gateways, including producing the Procurement Outcome Report. Facilitate the smooth handover of sourcing projects to the Manage & Enable function, ensuring all relevant details are communicated effectively. Actively work towards achieving Service Level Agreement KPIs and NWL PS internal performance metrics, driving continuous improvement. Provide expertise and guidance on potential sourcing approaches, contributing to the success of procurement project delivery and ensuring that projects reflect the most appropriate sourcing strategies. Manage complex information flows, engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication on all relevant sourcing issues.

Person Specification

Education/Qualification Essential

Professional operational service delivery and business management knowledge to degree equivalent plus further management experience or training to post graduate diploma level or equivalent Evidence of CPD

Desirable

MCIPS Qualified or working towards MCIPS

Skills & Knowledge Essential

Negotiation: A skilled negotiator with a broad range of skill sets Analysis: Skilled in being able to conduct analysis on complex data sets to provide concise insights Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrating ability to engage with stakeholders at multi levels

Desirable

Change Management: Understands change management and process improvement with experience in supporting business process / organisational change

Experience Essential

Good level of experience of sourcing activity in a relevant field Significant experience of stakeholder management in a customer and results focused environment Successful negotiation and implementation of purchasing agreements Performance management in a multi-site environment Evidence of providing and receiving complex information Experience in being persuasive and motivational, with the ability to negotiate and train others

Desirable

Experience in sourcing or procurement in non-clinical categories
