We're looking for 3 Specialty Doctors to join our team of life savers and life changers who share our values to help us provide high quality care for the patients, carers, families and communities we serve. We specialise in NHS mental health and learning disability services and we're proud to be the difference improving lives every day.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our acute inpatient and crisis mental health teams. Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to preference and negotiate bespoke job plans across the below services:

Our Urgent and Crisis Service

Main duties of the job
Attendance at ward team meetings and chair these meetings when required. Medical leadership to the multidisciplinary ward team. Medical/psychiatric assessments for care planning and risk assessment. Formulation and delivery of appropriate pharmacological and psychological interventions to aid recovery. Undertake Seclusion reviews as necessary. Attendance at Tribunal hearings for people detained under Mental Health Act. Completion of administrative tasks necessary for clinical responsibilities. Writing of Mental Health Review Tribunal Reports or reports to other agencies. Liaison with members of other teams to transfer patients into and out of inpatient service. Attendance at CPA reviews and pre-discharge planning meetings. Clinical supervision of junior medical staff Teaching of undergraduate medical students. Attendance at weekly CPD sessions. Attendance at Monthly Governance meetings and Leadership meeting. Will be supported through monthly clinical supervision.

Person Specification
Knowledge & Skills Essential
Effective leadership skills Ability to deliver care in collaboration with service users and their families/carers. Ability to supervise junior staff Awareness of the funding arrangements in the NHS and recent NHS developments Ability to interpret published research and to apply research findings to clinical practice.
Desirable
Experience of involvement in service development and/or reconfiguration Practical experience of research Sympathetic to the Trust's mission
Training & Qualifications Essential
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice Section 12 (2) MHA 1983 approved OR eligibility for S12 approval.
Desirable
MRCPsych or equivalent Training in evidence-based interventions Approved Clinician (AC) status/eligibility to be on the AC register.
Experience Essential
2 years Foundation experience or equivalent. 2 years Core Psychiatry experience or equivalent. Experience of leading a multi-disciplinary team. Experience in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates. Experience in medical audit & understanding of clinical governance principles
Desirable
Teaching/presentation experience (e.g. conference presentation, EBM, research experience). Experience of adult acute and crisis and/or psychiatric inpatient care A detailed knowledge of the Mental Health Act, the functions of the Mental Health Review Tribunals and Hospital Managers' Hearings Experience of writing reports of and attending Managers' Hearings and MHA Tribunals. Experience networking and building collaborative working relationships across a range of stakeholders to improve patient care pathways and experience.
