This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within the South West Thames Renal and Transplant Division based at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust where you will be responsible for the management, performance and oversight of the South West Thames Renal and Transplant Division.

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functional management of the South West Thames Renal and Transplant Division across the service's geography. The postholder is to support the Divisional Director of Operations (DDO) on both an operational and strategic basis, delivering service improvement, integration, project implementation and will be expected to have a working knowledge of all services within the service, the associated performance metrics and key issues that are affecting the division.

The post holder is expected to function as part of the senior management team for South West Thames Renal and Transplant Division and will participate on the Trust's Senior Management on call rota as well as deputising for the DDO for South West Thames Renal and Transplant Division.

Main duties of the job

The key focus of this post will ensure:

Delivery of operational and quality, performance, and finance standards Optimisation of the patient pathway, ensuring that patients are streamed to the most appropriate pathway for their care needs Identification and development of new pathways of care in conjunction with clinical leads Development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to further enhance the patient pathway Supporting both sites to ensure optimal staffing levels are reached, particularly in relation to medical staffing For further information you may also contact Hazel Gleed, Divisional Director of Operations, South West Thames Renal and Transplant Division in [email protected] or 07885 417647.

There is also a network of out-reach renal clinics in eight district general and other hospitals in the region. There is also a network of eight local satellite dialysis units in Epsom, Sutton, Kingston, Croydon, Coulsdon, Crawley, Farnborough, and West Byfleet.

Graduate level or equivalent academic or healthcare professional qualification Evidence of continuing professional development
