Job summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and compassionate Team Manager to lead our Children and Young People's Eating Disorders Service (CYPEDS) in Cornwall.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to shape, strengthen and deliver a high-quality, evidence-based service for children, young people and their families affected by eating disorders.
You will play a key role in ensuring the service continues to provide timely, effective and compassionate care, in line with national standards and local priorities.
Main duties of the job
As Team Manager, you will:
Provide strong operational and clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists and support staff Lead the delivery of safe, effective and innovative care, ensuring high standards of clinical practice Oversee service performance, including access, waiting times and quality outcomes Support workforce development, supervision, and staff wellbeing Drive service improvement and transformation, embedding evidence-based approaches Work collaboratively with CAMHS, physical health services and community partners to ensure integrated care pathways Ensure compliance with relevant national guidance, policies and governance frameworks

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications and Experience Essential
Professional qualification- i.e. Nurse, social worker, SLT, OT, Psychology or equivalent experience Previous knowledge and experience of working with Eating disorders. Evidence of continuing professional development Leadership/Management qualification or experience to diploma level Substantial experience of clinical work as a qualified professional e.g. Social Work, Speech and Language, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team Recent clinical experience or qualification in Child & Adolescent Mental Health.
Desirable
Previous knowledge and experience of working with under 18's with eating disorder presentations. Masters level qualification or equivalent experience Current professional registration

Substantial experience in Safeguarding Children Evidence of continued practice & professional development Experience of setting up new processes/projects Experience of leading on policy and service development

Ability to manage complex cases, analyse complex information and offer sound clinic guidance, advise, and make effective decisions. Ability to undertake difficult conversations with staff teams, partner agencies, referrers and families/ carers.
