The Role
We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our busy team of a manufacturing site to ensure the efficient management the Transport department to ensure our cardboard packaging are delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport planning, routing, load fill & optimisationDriver debrief, supervising, holiday/absence cover, on road issuesArranging couriers / third partiesAdherence to O Licence rules and complianceOrganising vehicle maintenance and repairsCollaborating with other departments, e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Design, Planning and ProductionReports, Admin, Record keeping Key Skills & Experience:
Planning – forward thinkingOrganised with attention to detailGood Geographical knowledgeGood Knowledge of HGV’s, driving hours and vehicle loadsProblem solving skillsAdaptable, able to embrace change at short noticeGood communication both verbal and writtenIT competent – Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.CPC in Transport Management (preferred but not essential) Health and Safety is an integral part of Smurfit Westrock activities and all colleagues are expected to play their part in creating a safe working environment; adhering to all SW policies within their area of work and a conducting any such work in a safe manner.
