Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related Technology field, or equivalent relevant work experience • At least 5 years of system engineering experience with Cerner Millennium • Fluent in English Preferred Qualifications: • Fluent in Swedish • At least 2 years of Linux support and administration experience • At least 2 years Cerner Millennium technical installation, troubleshooting, and support experience Expectations: • Relocation to Stockholm, Sweden • Strong Understanding and Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Linux, Citrix, Windows, WebSphere Application Server, Active Directory, Databases (Oracle), or Networking • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite • Able to travel up to 20% or more and work irregular hours or on call if needed Cerner’s hosting organization, CernerWorks, is growing, and is currently seeking a Lead System Engineer to join the Global CernerWorks Client Operations team as we embark on an exciting journey to enter Sweden, a new country for our hosting business. This position will be based in Stockholm, where you will begin with managing a large scale Client and projects that will span across Region Skåne. You will be part of this exciting new project as we standup a new data center to remotely host our Cerner Millennium system in order to provide an integrated digital healthcare environment, replacing hundreds of existing IT systems in hospitals and primary care facilities for a comprehensive solution. The new Cerner Millennium system will involve the management of the health of 1.3+ million people in this region of Sweden, which will consist of a modern digital care system that allows for increased patient participation, safer patient experience, and an improved work environment for healthcare professionals. In this role, you will be part of a Global team in a fast-paced environment, spanning different time zones as you work with various teams and team members to run both live production and non-production systems that you will support, monitor, and manage in order to keep systems running smoothly and within contracted service level agreements. As a Lead System Engineer you are responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly activities required to keep a client system running at peak performance. In addition, you are the first line of contact with the client and should be in attendance for all weekly calls, as the primary objective is client satisfaction and system uptime. You will perform a variety of technical tasks, in addition to following all process and procedures, escalating issues, and creating/updating all documentation necessary. You need a strong understanding of System Administration with UNIX systems, troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of relational databases (Oracle) and core Microsoft technologies, Networking concepts, and other basic core technologies such as Citrix, Oracle, Windows, Websphere, Active Directory. Assisting in the development and monitoring of project work plans as well as ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously while working across multiple team environments and time zones. Working on problems/projects using standard procedures in analyzing data and situations as well as providing site-specific training, documentation, support and ongoing knowledge transfer to clients.
