Job SummaryYou will serve as an ELECTRONICS ENGINEER in the ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT (N7) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

QualificationsIn addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Professional level electronics engineering experience applying electronics/electrical engineering principles, practices, and skills to the design, acquisition, modification, integration, installation, testing, evaluation, and turnover to operational personnel of complex electronic systems/components supporting oceanographic mission survey systems. Experience in execution and leadership with electronics engineering efforts for shipboard mission systems or autonomous vehicles. Experience managing acquisition and maintenance programs for state-of-the-art shipboard instrumentation systems, data acquisition systems, data processing systems, or autonomous vehicles. Major DutiesYou will function as a Senior Project Engineer carrying out all long-range planning, establishing engineering plans, overseeing shipboard engineering installation, operation capabilities, and transitioning systems to full operational capabilities.You will oversee Shipboard Engineering Installation, perform planning, coordination, and on-site management of shipboard system installation.You will collect data on, analyze, and record timely corrective action for all system failures.You will create and maintain Project Plans for assigned systems, to document and identify technical, schedule manpower, travel, and financial resource requirements for proper system evaluation, installation, and testing.You will provide engineering leadership for the overall technical direction of major system upgrades, replacements, and new systems integration and installation.
