About the Role:
Involve the design and delivery of inclusive theoretical and practical teaching, to meet module learning outcomes, as either module leader or a member of the module team. Provide student-focussed academic personal tutoring, supported by on-campus specialist centres, including the Achievement and Success Centre and the Employability, Skills and Careers Team. Involve planning, designing and delivery of student assessments followed by marking and moderation of student work. Engagement with scholarly activity, applying this to teaching and other opportunities for knowledge generation, exchange and transfer. Supervising student research projects. Actively contributing to committees and project management as required.
The successful candidate will work with the programme team to recruit, teach, tutor and assess students enrolled on the recently validated MSci Veterinary Physiotherapy programme. As well as being a RAMP registered veterinary physiotherapist, the successful candidate will have a strong student focus, attention to detail and able to work as part of a dynamic team. Candidates should demonstrate professional practice experience in both companion animal and equine physiotherapy. Academic experience would be advantageous but full training will be given to the right candidate.
About You:
You will be a dynamic, professional and experienced Veterinary Physiotherapist. Hold a teaching qualification or be willing to complete a teaching development programme. Highly motivated, self-reliant and enthusiastic and passionate about delivering the highest quality of teaching, learning and student experience to our veterinary physiotherapy students. A record of strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills, also the ability to manage your own time. Teaching and assessing/coaching experience is desirable but not essential Have post-qualification/industry experience within the subject field, with research practice being advantageous. Evidence of engagement with research and scholarly activity and a willingness to further develop and contribute to this area as a university academic.
