The Design Automation function at Sandvik Coromant is responsible for creating and maintaining procedures for product configuration and programs to automatically generate CAD modules, manufacturing and customer data. We work to streamline the process in terms of order- and offer generation and provide the necessary information and data about the design and production of products and solutions, to both the production line and our customers. Our department in Sandviken is responsible for supporting and improving methods and ways of working in all subsidiaries within Sandvik Machining Solutions. We are now looking for a Manager to lead our team of experienced professionals. The location for this position is Sandviken, and some travel is a natural part of this position. Key performance areas We are on an exciting and increasingly digital journey within the Design Automation department and we offer you the chance to take part in future-proofing this department and its development. As Manager, you lead and develop the department and are overall responsible for setting goals, planning projects, developing our way of working and for ensuring our stakeholders gets first-class support. You coordinate product development projects and cooperate with product owners and development departments for all product development projects within Sandvik Coromant. Your department sets the standard and structure for automation, which includes standardization, generalization and re-using methods and processes. As travel is a natural part of this position, this is also an excellent opportunity for you to build an extensive international network within the organization. As Manager for Design Automation, you report directly to the Senior Manager of Product Information. Your profile We are looking for someone with an MSc in Engineering or equivalent, within machining, industrial finance or IT, and previous experience working within the field as a Project Manager or a Manager. You have documented experience of leadership and change management and a background in IT. You also have technical knowledge within Design/CAD and programming, more profound skills are, of course, highly beneficial. To succeed in this position, you need excellent skills in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
