For the Modeling and Simulations department within Sandvik Coromant’s R&D and Product Management, we are now looking for an experienced engineer to join us in developing knowledge in modeling and simulation of materials, where we model from the atomic scale up to the cutting process. This is a great opportunity to work with highly skilled colleagues in an innovative setting. The location for this position is Västberga, Stockholm and travel occurs, especially to Sandviken. Your mission – Bringing your expertise in materials modeling to improve methods, tools and processes In this position, you develop and improve modeling methods to be used in development of our cutting tool materials. With your fresh ideas, you actively contribute in development projects and share your skills and best practices. You support colleagues in professional growth to increase their capabilities to deliver, and you collaborate with your own functions and internal networks and find successful solutions. You also examine and evolve your own knowledge within modeling and simulation. Your profile – Trusted engineer and inspiring mentor We are looking for someone with a Master’s in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science and who have at least five years of experience within the field. A PhD is an advantage. You have comprehensive subject knowledge and experience of materials modeling, and knowledge in IT-systems and mathematics is preferable.
