About this role
Reporting to the Director of UX Design, you will do:
Design High-Quality Visual Experiences
Create polished UI with a focus on motion, illustration, composition, and interaction details—bringing clarity and personality to complex experiences.
Implement Within Design Systems (Atlas, SDUI)
Apply and extend system components to deliver scalable UI. Contribute improvements through patterns, documentation, and feedback loops.
Ship Against Product Timelines
Work with Product and Engineering to deliver production-ready designs in consideration of roadmap priorities, especially through component-based delivery.
Contribute to VisionType & Future Concepts
Help translate new ideas, roadmap features, and new patterns into cohesive, forward-looking design work.
Collaborate with Engineering, UXR, Product, and Marketing to ensure designs are practical, validated, and aligned with brand and team goals.
Support Design Quality & Operations
Contribute to documentation and lightweight QA practices that improve consistency and system adoption.
What We're Looking For
2+ years designing digital products with a focus on visual and interaction designPortfolio demonstrating UI craft, motion.Experience working within modern design systems and component-driven environmentsComfortable working with engineers and understanding implementation constraintsQualifications
Experience creating design system documentation and usage guidelinesSync communication habits (Loom, written walkthroughs, design rationale)Apply lightweight QA practices to ensure visual and system consistencyFamiliarity with intake and evaluation of new components and pattern evolutionExperience designing for SDUI or componentized front-end architecturesTranslate ambiguous ideas into clear, testable design conceptsExperience collaborating on early-stage feasibility with engineering partnersBrainstorming with Product, Data Science, and visualization teamsExperience preparing work for UXR and iterating based on findingsAlign design output with GTM and marketing needsExperience contributing to vision artifacts or future-state design explorationsVisual craft across motion, illustration, layout, and interaction detailExperience using AI-driven design tools and tasks This is a remote role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
