Summary
Job Description
- Answers maintenance requests obtained via the Work Order Management System and/or communication with hospital staff.
- Handles routine and emergency maintenance calls for complex systems, and keeps routine watch over operating condition of HVAC, electric, plumbing and medical systems in the facility.
- Does routine maintenance according to scheduled preventive maintenance program.
- Requires high level of carpentry experience, particularly with metal stud and drywall.
- This position places patient care and infection control standards as a top priority, following and aligning all activities with these standards.
- The role may require working outside of regularly scheduled shifts, in inclement weather, or in emergency situations.
- All roles within the Engineering department are required to adopt and utilize the CMMS work order system to effectively communicate across the organization and manage activities and assets.
Minimum Requirements
- Two years of relevant experience required
- Adequate knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry preferred
