Role Overview
The Accounting Intern will work closely with our finance and accounting team to gain practical experience in financial record-keeping, analysis, and reporting. This role offers a valuable opportunity to develop skills in financial management, auditing, and compliance within the exciting and evolving fintech industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, and reconciliation.
- Supporting the preparation and analysis of financial reports, statements, and budgets.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Participating in audits and internal control procedures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Contributing to special projects as assigned, offering fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to improve accounting processes.
Requirements
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Familiarity with US GAAP is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
