Job Title: Production WorkerJob DescriptionJoin our team in the Polyurethane department where you will be integral in transforming liquid polymer into solid foam earplugs. This role involves various general operation duties essential to the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment, including loading, unloading, and basic troubleshooting.
- Assist at a stationary desktop table using a hand tool to press plastic inserts into molds one-by-one.
- Perform 'Kitter' duties, which include removing, cleaning, and stacking inserts and bases for reuse.
- Inspect and package finished foam earplugs, ensuring quality by checking shape and weight.
- Construct boxes, label, and prepare pallets for shipment, completing approximately 60 boxes per shift.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area.
Essential Skills
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work mandatory overtime.
- Wearing steel-toed shoes is required.

- No export control required for Poly department.

Work EnvironmentWork in a manufacturing line environment requiring steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Some areas may require a respirator. The environment is typically cool, around 65 degrees. Candidates should be prepared to stand for the full shift, except during breaks. Shifts available: 1st Shift (6:45am 3:15pm), 2nd Shift (2:45pm 11:15pm), and 3rd Shift (10:45pm 7:15am, ending Saturday morning).
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of INDIANAPOLIS, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
