Job Description

• Operate forklifts to safely move materials and products within and between departments in the plant.
• Use overhead cranes to transport rolls of material within the print department and between departments in the cushion plant.
• Support weld rod production by operating a small mixer to produce batches, using scales to precisely weigh pigments, and running extruders and winders to produce spools.
• Ensure weld rod batches and spools meet production specifications and quality standards.
• Properly label packaging for weld rod products and accurately complete associated production paperwork.
• Shrink-wrap pallets and prepare finished goods for shipping and storage.
• Handle shipping-related tasks, including material handling, loading, and staging as required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience operating sit-down forklifts in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
• Previous manufacturing, production, material handling, or general labor experience.
• Shipping and palletizing experience in an industrial or warehouse setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and safety rules consistently.
• Capability to frequently walk, stand, climb, and lift or leverage 50+ pounds.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of SALEM, NJ.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
