About this role
Job DescriptionThis role focuses on building large, custom water purification systems used in mines, nuclear plants, sports stadiums, and major commercial facilities. You work in a project-based, indoor assembly environment rather than on a traditional production line, collaborating with a team to construct complex piping apparatuses that support reverse osmosis water filtration. Each project is unique, offering variety in daily tasks and ongoing opportunities to apply and grow your mechanical and construction-related skills.

- Bolt, glue, screw, and otherwise fasten parts together to build custom water purification systems.
- Fabricate components according to specifications, drawings, and verbal instructions.
- Operate assembly-related machinery and equipment required to complete production work.
- Test the fitment of parts and make necessary modifications to pieces and assemblies.
- Measure, cut, and fasten plumbing materials such as PVC pipe, stainless steel pipe, copper pipe, and other galvanized materials.
- Secure customized production materials onto custom frames and structures.
- Test completed equipment to verify proper functionality and performance.
- Assist with preparing systems and loose equipment for shipment, ensuring they are properly organized and ready for transport.
- Help receive materials and items, following established procedures for handling and documentation.
- Organize production parts and inventory in accordance with established practices and procedures.
- Participate in cross-training activities to support other areas of production when needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while using hand tools, power tools, and saws appropriately.
Essential Skills

- At least 6 months of mechanical assembly or construction experience in a hands-on environment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience with PVC pipe fitting, including cutting and using saws, is strongly preferred.
- Comfort working with hand tools and power tools, including cordless drills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications and verbal directions accurately.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills related to fitment and assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Fabrication experience, including cutting, fitting, and assembling structural or plumbing components, is beneficial but not required.
- Plumbing experience, especially working with various pipe materials, is a plus.
- Experience in construction, carpentry, or similar trades is advantageous.
- Experience with water treatment systems or related industrial equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers.
- Willingness to participate in cross-training and learn new tasks across different areas of production.

The culture is collaborative and inclusive, where your ideas and input are valued and you work alongside a positive, engaged team that enjoys what they do. You benefit from ongoing skills development and the opportunity to work on custom, varied projects rather than repetitive production line work. The workplace is air conditioned and comfortable, with a relaxed atmosphere that encourages open communication about time off.

There is a strong track record of converting high-performing, reliable team members to direct employment, offering a clear path for long-term growth. Work EnvironmentYou work in a large, modern production shop featuring a spacious assembly area along with smaller wiring and welding sections. The environment is air conditioned and designed for comfort while performing hands-on mechanical and assembly tasks.
The atmosphere is relaxed and communication-focused, with flexibility for requesting days off when needed. You use a variety of hand tools, power tools such as 18-volt cordless drills, saws, and standard measuring equipment in your daily work. Dress is practical and suited to a fabrication and assembly setting, with an emphasis on safety and readiness to handle tools and materials.
