Teaching Fellow in Art Law
The Courtauld wishes to appoint a Teaching Fellow to a fixed-term position of 7 months to provide sabbatical cover for a faculty-led MA Art and Business Elective module.
Role Details
Contract type: Fixed term, 7 months Contract dates: (1 December – 30 June) Hours: Part-time (up to 187 hours over the duration of the contract) Salary: Up to £5,700 (Grade 6, pro rata for 7 month contract)
Teaching Responsibilities
This role would include teaching on the following Postgraduate Taught modules:
Introduction to Art Law, MA Art and Business Elective (Spring Semester)
Workload and Support
Teaching Fellow contracts include an allocation of time for preparation, teaching, tutorials, and marking in line with the weight of each module. In addition, the role includes:
An administrative allowance of 1 hour for every 3 hours of teaching An allowance of time for scholarship at 1 hour for every 3 hours of teaching Additional preparation time for independently taught modules Please see the attached Module Outline document for an overview of the teaching pattern and outline of the module types listed above
A Workload Allocation Model will be shared with the successful candidate.
Induction and Training
If you have not taught at The Courtauld before, you will be required to attend the 2026 New Teacher Induction Session. If you have taught at The Courtauld previously, you may optionally attend session and you will be expected to attend the whole faculty teaching refresher in September.
