The department of Sexual Health and HIV provides comprehensive services across three main sites and is led by a team of eight consultants.
The services sit within the Division of Women's Children and Sexual Health/HIV; and in the directorate of Gynaecology and SH/HIV.The trust provides care to over 2500 people living with HIV and the department offers a comprehensive service including in-patient care, a joint antenatal service and clinical trial opportunities. In addition we provide Sexual health and HIV services to the Greenwich Prison Cluster
Main duties of the job
This fixed-term post will support the HIV and Specialist Sexual Health service at the Trafalgar Clinic at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich. It is an HIV-focused job with the opportunity for involvement in the specialist Sexual Health Service. There is no SRH commitment. The successful candidate will form part of the HIV on-call rota 1:6 with a 2% on-call supplement. We envisage that a substantive post will be developed in due course in collaboration with acute/general medicine to strengthen our links and best need the needs of our patients.

Job description Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will require broad experience in HIV and Sexual Health, and will be encouraged and supported to develop an area of special interest. This will be an ideal post for candidates who have joint CCT in GUM/ General Internal Medicine.
Applicants are required to be on the Specialist Register with CCT in Genitourinary Medicine (or be within three months of obtaining it by the interview date). Full Registration with the GMC is essential.

Qualifications Essential
Full GMC registration MRCP or equivalent Diploma in GUM Diploma in HIV DFSRH (Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health) CCT/CESR in Genitourinary Medicine/HIV and inclusion on specialist register or within 6 months of this requirement
Desirable
Post graduate degree e.g. MD, PhD, MSc Educational Supervisor experience/training LoC Med Ed or PGEA in Medical Education LoC IUT LoC Implant
