Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Unit Manager in the friendly Critical Care team at the KCH Hospital; the post holder will be responsible for overseeing the high standards of care required for looking after the deteriorating/critically ill patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to provide professional leadership, advice and guidance for nursing practice within the unit and being a resource for all nursing staff.
They will also need to have expert clinical skills, great communication skills and clinical assessment skills. They will contribute to ensuring that the Nurses within the unit are developed to maximize their contribution to the achievement of the Trusts service goals and upholds and models the Trust values.

Minimum 2 years Critical care nursing as a Band 6. Resolving user concerns effectively. Registered General Nurse. Degree in Nursing or working towards degree or equivalent Intensive Care Course Preparation of mentors. Or equivalent
Desirable
Expierience in working as an autonomous practitioner. Post graduate level in Critical Care Management course
