About this role

Job summary

The Director of design, construction and technical services will be responsible for leading the planning and management of the end to end design and construction programme for the creation of the new Hinchingbrooke Hospital and associated enabling works, managing plans in line with the vision and objectives of the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme (HHRP).

Person Specification

Education/Knowledge and Qualifications Essential

A Degree (or other professional qualification) in Commercial Management, Business, Law, Project Management, or a similar relevant discipline Holds or is working towards a formal professional qualification such as CIPS. NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation or equivalent formal training in NEC4 contract management.

Desirable

Proven track record in procurement within health, construction, or infrastructure industries. Experience of business case development for large or complex capital projects and of the work streams including Clinical Strategy, Workforce, IT and Estates. Considerable project management experience of large capital schemes in the healthcare sector.

Experience Essential

Proven experience in administering NEC4 contracts, including ECC and PSC forms, within regulated public sector environments. Developing and implementing effective NEC contract management processes and systemsthroughout the project Monitoring, documenting, and reporting upon contract progressand performance indicators specific to NEC. Leading change control managementin line with NEC contract framework requirements, including tracking and documenting changes, administering early warning provisions and negotiating contractual change. Experience of managing and dealing with large construction and legal contracts. Experience of working in the construction industry.
