Job summary Corporate Grader ROG, Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (DESP) Location: Middlewich/Remote
Join our national Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (DESP) and play a vital role in supporting early diagnosis and improving outcomes for patients with long-term conditions. Working in partnership with NHS Trusts, commissioning organisations and GP practices, our services help deliver high-quality, patient-focused care across the UK.
The Role
As a Corporate Retinal Grader, youll be part of our central grading team, delivering accurate, consistent and high-quality diabetic retinal grading across multiple programmes. Your work will directly support clinical decision-making and help ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care.
Main duties of the job Provide first, second, arbitration, referral outcome (ROG) and OCT grading in line with NDESP guidance (as signed off by the Clinical Lead) Complete relevant units of the Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners and undertake monthly EQA grading tests Attend and actively participate in MDT meetings and continuous professional development activities Become an expert user of Spectra Maintain strict data security and confidentiality standards at all times Follow all grading protocols, ensuring regular review for ongoing compliance Contribute to performance improvement through feedback, competency assessments and proficiency testing Communicate effectively with colleagues using MS Teams, email and other systems
