Requirements
- Strong commercial Python engineering experience
- Experience building and supporting production applications
- Expertise in PostgreSQL and Snowflake
- AWS cloud experience, such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS or similar
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and software engineering best practices
- Experience in asset management, investment management, capital markets or financial services
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Desirable: experience with ETF investment technology, Bloomberg or FactSet integrations, portfolio analytics and risk systems, quantitative finance environments, or front-office trading technology
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and support production-grade Python applications
- Enhance investment workflows for portfolio management, trading and risk analysis
- Improve platform scalability, resilience and operational support processes
- Build and maintain APIs, integrations and automated delivery pipelines
- Work with Portfolio Managers and Quantitative Analysts to deliver business-critical enhancements
- Strengthen monitoring, observability, testing and production support capabilities
- Contribute to architecture decisions and application modernisation initiatives

The role supports business-critical applications for ETF portfolio management and investment decision-making, with a focus on modernising and scaling trading and investment tools, improving engineering quality and reducing technical debt.
