Requirements
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise network environments.
- Knowledge of network hardware, configuration, and performance monitoring.
- Ability to diagnose network faults and resolve issues in a structured way.
- Experience completing planned changes and clearly recording technical work.
- Confidence working with colleagues to resolve network service issues.
- Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Substantial experience in similar-sized organisations, with knowledge of Cisco, Avaya telephony, Azure, AWS, zScaler, SolarWinds, and Sentinel.
- Strong knowledge of network monitoring and management, alongside supplier management experience.
- Strong knowledge of SD-WAN, VLAN, and Azure vWAN.
- Strong knowledge of static and dynamic routing.
- Ability to apply industry best practice, with knowledge of ISO 20000 (Service Management) and ITSM.
- Experience authoring technical design documents and service artefacts.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and address issues to maintain reliable connectivity.
- Investigate faults, diagnose root causes, and promptly restore network services.
- Configure and maintain network equipment to support secure day-to-day operations.
- Carry out planned network changes and updates, keeping clear records of completed work.
- Review network capacity and performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with Technology colleagues to resolve service issues and coordinate technical activity.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, including configurations and support information.
- Improve network resilience through routine maintenance and practical system updates.
