Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Trials Coordinator to support Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical research by coordinating the set-up and day-to-day management of a diverse portfolio of studies. The post holder will work closely with our multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure studies are initiated efficiently, conducted to the highest regulatory and ethical standards, and delivered on time and to target.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a key member of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research teams, supporting the delivery of research studies by managing efficient study set-up and coordinating communication between stakeholders.
The post holder will ensure compliance with GCP and Trust policies and maintain accurate study documentation and data. They will contribute to audits and governance processes, oversee financial tasks such as costings and invoicing, and provide line management and workload coordination for administrative staff.

Person Specification
Education Essential
Degree in a science or health-related discipline or a degree in another field with experience in clinical trials An understanding of the clinical trial process.
Desirable
Post graduate certificate in clinical research, or other post graduate qualification/experience.
Knowledge and Experience Essential
Experience in Clinical Trials administration, including set up, data collection, audit and project co-ordination. Sound knowledge of all aspects of research governance and related legislation and inspection requirements (e.g. MHRA, HTA). Experience of the governance and approval systems within the NHS and UK CRN for clinical studies. Data quality management.
Desirable
Previous NHS experience Evidence of writing policies and procedures and evaluating their application in practice. Research project monitoring.
Skills Essential
Excellent organisational skills, with a methodical approach and the ability to pay attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a team, and experience of interdisciplinary working. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritise own and others' workload, and practice effective time management. Ability to work under pressure, and to tight and unexpected deadlines Advanced IT skills with a good working knowledge of IT packages and databases.
