Job summary
To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to theConsultant Psychiatristsandtheclinicalteam;assistingthem in achieving theirobjectivesand liaisingwith all relevant andappropriate services.
To ensureallpatientmedicalinterventions areorganisedeffectively and efficiently so that patients are seen withoutclinical risk and within NHS guidelines and targets.
Main duties of the job
The post holder willbe responsible forundertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, which include the receipt of all correspondence, booking of patientmedicalappointments, attendance atdesignatedmeetingsrecordingaccuratenotes.Completion ofaudio transcription of clinical letters, reportsand other correspondence as required by the Consultant Psychiatristandmedical team.
To act as a focal point of contact andbe responsible forthe dissemination of information, messages and enquires for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals and staff within the Trust, GP's, Social Workers, Service Users,Carersand any otherappropriate externalagencies.You will also help cover when other secretaries within theserviceare on annual leave.
