Working Part time : 15 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward thinking Supplies Services. You will form part of a team which provides an efficient stock replenishment service to the Wards and Departments, and ensures the smooth running of the Supplies Department which includes carrying out a significant amount of manual handling.
Main duties of the job
To provide a full top up service to Wards and Departments using handheld computers and manual requisitions, making flexible adjustments depending on needs of the Trust To be able to plan and deliver own work schedule to an appropriate timescale To have the ability to work in all parts of Supplies To use the Trust Purchase and Supply System for all Supplies requirements, such as booking in deliveries, and using stock management system To deliver goods using safe manual handling processes To provide a service for ordering, receiving and put away of items within the Auto Dispensing Cabinets within the Trust
About us The Trust's services are provided from three locations: o The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds. o Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility. o Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population. The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust employs 5,964 staff (headcount) to provide care and treatment to a population of over 400,000 people living in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire. The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care System. Qualifications Essential
To have NVQ level 3 Customer Service or CIPs foundation level or level 2 or equivalent knowledge and experience of Materials Management (Warehouse Apprenticeship) and/or a Stock Control System To be able to carry out a significant amount of manual handling i.e. handling pallets and bulk deliveries
Desirable
Previous knowledge of medical products and suppliers Have an understanding of a stock control system
Knowledge and experience Essential
Must be able to meet pre-set schedules and deadlines, and deal with queries efficiently whilst working in a methodical manner, paying particular attention to accuracy To respond to unexpected changes and adopt a flexible attitude.
Desirable
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Evidence of ongoing development Ability to work unsupervised on own initiative, and be an effective team member
