Job summary
Following the successful expansion of the Operational Performance Team, we are looking to recruit further. We have a number of exciting opportunities within the Operational Performance Team at UHB.
We are seeking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our expanding team working on various projects in order to meet Trust targets. Posts are permanent, working 37.5 hours per week and we are looking to expand the team footprint in our offices based at Friars Gate, Shirley, Solihull.
We would like the successful candidates to be pro-active, approachable and supportive to both patients and colleagues, to have a conscientious approach to their work, the ability to demonstrate administrative experience and be able to meet the main duties of the role as identified in the job description.
We are looking for individuals who are fully committed to providing a high standard of work to support the needs of the team, colleagues, and the Trust, ensuring our patients receive the treatment they need as quickly as possible.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will be expected to ensure the provision of accurate and high quality information and to support the validation of data and patient pathways. This will involve the validation of patient pathways for outpatient and inpatient waits, cancelled operations, emergency department waits, diagnostic waits and contacting patients on our waiting lists.
Applicants must have good communication skills, the ability to work both independently and within a team and have a friendly, approachable manner as they will be liaising with operational staff across the Trust and at times speaking to patients via telephone.
Candidates must be able to work with accuracy, under pressure and be prepared to work to tight deadlines. The ability to manage workloads and being proactive supporting colleagues is essential. Experience in using the Trust patient administration system would be advantageous along with knowledge and understanding of the 18-week referral to treatment guidelines and other Trust targets. Full training and support will be provided.
Post holders will be working from our office based at Friars Gate, Solihull, however, staff are required to work across all hospital sites when needed to support service delivery

Qualifications Essential
*Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C) *Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment
Experience Essential
*Experience working in an acute Trust *Understand confidentiality and apply the principles in every day working practice *Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience *Proficient in the use of Microsoft systems i.e. Office, Excel, Word.
Desirable
*Previous experience of RTT validation *Experience of applying the Trust's access policy in line with 18-week, Diagnostic, Emergency Department and Cancelled Operations National Guidelines *In depth understanding of patient pathways *Good knowledge of NHS IT systems *Knowledge of Operational targets
