Job summary
Please note this is for 6 sessions per week including Monday and Tuesday.
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the patients via face to face, telephone and home visits. The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance. Working independently to effectively manage case load and long-term conditions. Referrals, prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks. Adhere & maintain to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process. Adhere & maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance. Review and adhere to policies and guidelines. Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice. Contribute towards QOF. Attend and contribute effectively to weekly / monthly practice meetings as and when required. Ensure compliance with the appraisal process. Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and training. Ensure your revalidation process is kept up to date. Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team. To help and support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice. Embrace collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly.

About us
The Village Surgery is based in South Normanton and Pinxton. We currently have around 9,500 patients over both sites.
We have a friendly team of General Practitioners, including three partners, a nursing team and admin and reception.

Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks as requested by The Village Surgery.
Adhere and maintain to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Adhere and maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
Review and adhere to The Village Surgery policies and guidelines
Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
Contribute towards QOF

Qualifications Essential
Member of the GMC Register Experience of working in a primary care and urgent care environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills written, verbal & particularly listening A clear understanding of professional responsibility and accountability Good clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of acute Primary care presentations

Experience of QOF Experience of clinical audits

Current registration with GMC Sound knowledge of clinical governance Experience of working in Primary Care Ability to provide quality care Dealing with Vulnerable patients Audits Good leadership skills Good organisational and IT skills desirable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - written, verbal Clear understanding of professional responsibility and accountability.
