If you have an in interest in laboratory work, this is an ideal opportunity for you to take on a supporting role as part of our Histopathology Medical Laboratory Assistant Team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
You will need to be organised, flexible and a good team player who is able to work in a high pressured environment.
Main duties of the job
This is a one year fixed term post to support the main laboratory, task will include:
Filing slides Assembling cases Scanning slides to be reported digitally Instrument maintenance.
If you've worked within a similar environment that's great. If not, don't worry as full training will be provided. You will however need to have an interest in working within this environment and have a good eye for detail and following procedures.
Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
