Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, well organised, enthusiastic individual to work flexibly as the Ward receptionist on Neuroscience Day Unit at the SGH Site. The unit is an outpatient department that normally caters for patients undergoing day case procedures.
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive and confidential clerical activities to meet the needs of the unit, in accordance with departmental and Trust policies and procedures
We are primarily looking for people with excellent customer care skills, enthusiasm, a flexible approach and a professional attitude.
You will be expected to have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training Essential
Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent. Previous experience of working with the public. Experience of working in a team.
Desirable
Previous healthcare knowledge/experience. Qualification relating to customer care.

Communicates well both verbally and in written English Proficient in word processing and basic computer skills. Willingness to develop new skills Able to organise and prioritise workload.
