Weare lookingto recruitan experienced, motivatedprofessional to join ourResearch and Development Teamas aBand 6, Senior Research Practitioner.We have a growing portfolio of studiesacrossour Trust servicesinMental health,Physical health,Sexual health, Learning DisabilitiesandNeurodevelopmental conditions. Wework intricately withthese clinical services todeliver on our study portfolio.

This post is based at University of Reading, Whiteknights Campus, but you willbe requiredto travel as required by the job role and as such a time efficient mode of transportation is essential. Currently the Trust is supportinghybridworking whereappropriate.

WorkPattern:Monday-Friday,9-5 but some flexibility may berequired.

Main duties of the job

The role requires excellent organisational,project managementandcommunicationskillsinaddition toan awarenessofresearch study processes. Main dutiesincludesupportingclinical stafftoassessthe capacity and capability forstudies,andeffectivelyimplementingstudyresearch protocols, including participant identificationand recruitment, maintenance ofstudy documentationin accordance withregulatory frameworks, stipulatedtimeframesanddelivery targets.

Working bothautonomously and collaborativelyto be the lead onmanaginga portfolio of research projects onaday-to-daybasis. Havingthe abilityto prioritise and use own initiative todrive clinical research delivery performance for Berkshire Healthcare,to ensurekey performance indicators are met.

Previousline management/mentorshipexperience would beadvantageous.Venepuncture skills would also beadvantageous,but training will also be provided.

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications/Training Essential

For healthcare professionals relevant professional qualification (e.g. Registered Nurse or Paramedic) For Clinical Research Practitioners an undergraduate degree in a relevant healthcare subject

Previous Experience Essential

At least 3 years' experience working in a health or social care setting. Awareness of GDPR and data protection issues related to NHS research Experience of adhering to GCP/Informed consent/other obligatory regulations related to healthcare research Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team Experience of research in a healthcare setting Experience of public speaking Experience of report writing

Desirable

Understanding of research design, methodology and application to enable data collection Previous supervision experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Essential

Good IT skills Excellent organisational skills High level of written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated Ability to network within a wide and diverse community both clinical and research-orientated
