Janitorial Worker - 3rd Shift @ Aerotek

Job Title: Janitorial Worker 3rd ShiftJob DescriptionThis role performs janitorial and custodial services in a large, brand-new data center facility during the 3rd shift. You will help maintain clean, safe, and orderly office spaces, common areas, restrooms, and data center environments, contributing to a professional and well-kept workplace.

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial duties in a large data center, including office spaces, common areas, and data hall environments.
• Sweep, mop, and dust floors and surfaces to maintain a clean and orderly facility.
• Empty and remove trash and recyclables from offices, common areas, and data center spaces in a safe and timely manner.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions, and floors, following established cleaning standards.
• Restock restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue as needed.
• Perform routine floor care tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and basic floor maintenance, to keep floors clean and safe.
• Occasionally work outside to remove trash and debris from exterior areas and maintain a tidy perimeter around the facility.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required protective footwear and proper handling of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the appropriate contact.
• Support additional cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned to meet facility standards.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of experience in janitorial, housekeeping, general production, warehouse, food service, or manufacturing roles.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
• Ability to clean and sanitize restrooms in accordance with established cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Capability to work 3rd shift hours (10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.) on either a TuesdaySaturday or SundayThursday schedule.
• Willingness and ability to occasionally work outdoors for trash removal and exterior cleaning tasks.
• Reliability and punctuality for consistent attendance on an overnight shift.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required protective footwear (steel toe or composite toe boots).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items as needed to perform cleaning duties throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Floor care experience, including working with floor finishes or specialized floor maintenance, is a plus.
• Experience working in large facilities, industrial environments, or data centers is beneficial.
• Comfort working in a facility that is still under construction, with changing conditions and occasional adjustments to tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment.

Work EnvironmentThis position is a 3rd shift role, working from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with one opening on a TuesdaySaturday schedule and another on a SundayThursday schedule. Some overtime may be required based on operational needs. The work takes place in a large, brand-new data center that is still under construction, so you can expect a dynamic environment with ongoing build-out activity. Duties are performed both indoors in office spaces, common areas, and data halls, and occasionally outdoors for trash removal and exterior upkeep. The facility operates with a strong focus on safety, and steel toe or composite toe boots are required as part of the dress code to protect against potential hazards in the construction and data center environment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
